The food you eat must contain all the essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. One of the best ways is to include fruits and vegetables into your diet. If you do not know which fruit or vegetable to include in your diet, you may start with the seasonal ones.
Fruits and vegetables contain innumerable antioxidants that boost your immune system. Try including at least 8 varieties of fruits and vegetables in your daily diet.
Also, always try to have a healthier food alternative whenever possible. For example, substitute white bread to whole wheat bread, sugar with jaggery or other natural sweeteners, white salt to rock salt, etc.

Now, you might wonder does drinking water truly make you healthy. Well, water is a magical drink that has the power to cleanse your body, flush out the toxins, and is essential to make your body absorb vital nutrients.

It is recommended to at least drink 8 whole glasses of water in a day, which adds up to approximately 2 liters. However, people who consume more protein need to drink up to 4 liters in a day to easily break the protein and reduce the effort on kidneys.

One of the biggest health risks of today is associated with leading a sedentary lifestyle. A majority of people’s work-life requires them to be glued to their desks and chairs for long hours. This causes numerous health issues and the only way to avoid them is by maintaining an active lifestyle.

Due to our fast-paced lifestyle, sleep has become one of the most neglected part of our daily life. If you think about it, most of us barely manage to get 6 quality hours of sleep. However, not clocking enough hours of sleep can have major impact on our overall health.
Being sleep deprived will impact our body in many ways, like imbalanced hormones, reduced focus, risk of numerous diseases, and many more. When you sleep, your body gets time to repair and destress, and get you energized for the next day.
While the amount of sleep one needs might differ from one person to another, an average adult requires 7-9 hours of quality shut-eye every night.
5) Guage your health regularly
While we cannot stress enough on getting a regular health check-up, it is one of the most foolproof ways of understanding the condition of your body and allows you to take timely actions to rectify it.
Getting a health check-up regularly helps you in identifying any abnormalities and taking preventive measures. It also helps you in understanding the functioning of your various organs and their health and reduces your expenditure on health in the long term.
